General details
Hi, I’m Bethan. I am a member of the Core Teacher Training team at the Mindfulness Network (MN) and Bangor University, which I joined in in 2015. I was the MBSR Lead Trainer at the MN for six years up to 2025, and have also taught on the Masters programme in ‘Mindfulness-based Approaches’ at Bangor University. I started teaching Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in 2008 and have delivered a variety of Mindfulness courses in workplaces, mainly in the public sector. I have also been teaching one-to-one mindfulness courses on behalf of the MN and Bangor University since 2010. I have been Supervising Mindfulness Teachers since 2015 in a range of settings. Prior to becoming a Mindfulness Trainer and Supervisor, I worked for statutory equality commissions in the UK for 15 years as a Researcher and then Legal Casework Manager and have developed teacher training courses on ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’ for Mindfulness teachers and trainers. I also regularly deliver Mental Health First Aid courses as well as other bespoke training courses on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Personal Practice
I have practised daily mindfulness mediation (including mindful movement) since 2002 and attended dozens of silent mediation retreats. I have been drawn all my life to exploring what it means to be human and continue to be open to deepening my understanding and learning through regular silent retreats and mediation courses.
